Donna Goldman’s professional experience as well as her volunteer activities assists her in guiding her clients, especially female clients, in organizing their finances and striving to build a more secure future for themselves and their families. By combining objective advice and years of experience, she helps her clients approach their day-to-day investment concerns as well as financial strategies for life transitions such as job loss, divorce, widowhood, retirement and family needs.
She and her husband, Howard Hirsch, also a Senior Director – Investments, here at Oppenheimer, built successful careers at the firms of Prudential Securities and Smith Barney before they moved to the boutique firm of Oppenheimer in Spring 2009. They were drawn to the firm by its entrepreneurial culture and its emphasis on high-touch client service, which forms an integral part of their financial practice.
Since 1983, Donna has focused on fixed income, retirement and estate planning strategies, professional managed money consulting and philanthropic services. Howard Hirsch began his career on Wall Street on the first day of the Crash of 1987. The events of that time gave him the focus for his entire career: helping clients understand and invest with an awareness of equity market cycles. In addition, his knowledge of day-to-day fluctuations in a number of markets led to appearances as a guest speaker on a Tri-State area financial radio show and being quoted on investment matters in Gannett Publications’ Journal News. In 2010 and 2011, Westchester Magazine selected Howard as a Five Star Wealth Manager chosen for “Best in Client Satisfaction Overall.”
Howard works as a Senior Director – Investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in association with his wife, Donna Goldman, CFP®, also a Senior Director – Investments. They joined the firm in Spring 2009, drawn by its entrepreneurial culture, objectivity and emphasis on high-touch client service, which has always been an integral part of their financial practice. Their joint client base is diverse, including high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as corporate and not-for-profit institutions. Previously, Howard had built a successful career at Prudential Securities and Smith Barney.
He is a graduate of the University of Maryland. Over the last fifteen years, he has spent his leisure time coaching his own children’s sports teams as well as children’s basketball and baseball for town and travel teams in Somers, New York. From time to time, he also works winter practice for the High School Baseball Program. He has a passion for golf and therefore also volunteers for the PGA Senior Tour. In the past, he worked with the Jewish Guild for the Blind and the Special Olympics.
Howard Hirsch is licensed in the following state(s)*: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, VA, WA
