Lee Hartzmark is a Managing Director – Investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., with 60 years of experience in the financial services industry. Working out of Oppenheimer’s Pepper Pike, Ohio office with his nephew and grandson, Lee oversees portfolios for individuals, families and small business owners. Lee and his team use several independent managers recommended by Oppenheimer Asset Management.
Lee began his business career right out of high school, when he chose to attend the University of Michigan to study economics and business administration, graduating with honors. His first position was with Goodbody & Co. Thereafter, he became co-manager of Westheimer & Co. Eventually, he established his own firm, Hartzmark & Co., with seats on the NYSE and AMEX, seven offices and more than 50 brokers. After selling the company in 1974 to Cowan and Co., he decided to retire, but ultimately returned to work. In 1978, he joined Thomson McKinnon as Vice President of Corporate Finance. Then, in 1985, he joined Edward A. Viner., which became Fahenstock & Co. in 1988 and Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 2003. Research Magazine wrote a story of his life in its March, 1998 edition, entitled “Heart of Hartzmark.”
In addition to his love of sports – Lee is an outstanding tennis player and has backed several local baseball teams -- he and his wife of almost 60 years are known for their philanthropy and their contribution to Jewish life. They have donated significant dollars to The Temple Tifereth-Israel in Cleveland to build a children’s library and a community room. He is a member of the University Hospitals Harrington-McLaughlin Heart & Vascular Institute Leadership Council. His philanthropy has benefited many individuals and families.
He and his wife divide their time between Ohio and Florida. They have two children and five grandchildren.

Bruce Hartzmark, who has 27 years of experience in the financial services industry, is an Associate Director - Investments at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in the Pepper Pike, Ohio office. After graduating with a BSBA in Marketing from The Ohio State University, he worked in industrial sales for a year until he went to work with his uncle at Thomson McKinnon Securities. In 1985, they joined Edward A. Viner, which merged with Fahnestock & Co. in 1988 and then changed their name to Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 2003.
Bruce has spent his investment career working with individuals, families and small business owners in helping them address their investment goals. He focuses on working with OAM’s consulting group in recommending Strategic Asset Allocations to work towards clients goals. He also helps clients put together fixed income portfolios. In assisting clients with an array of their life-changing financial needs, he frequently finds himself working with the second and third generations of many families.
Over the past 27 years, Bruce has volunteered his time with many non-profit organizations. He was on the National Board of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and was President of the Northeast Ohio Chapter. He has also been involved on committees or the board of trustees on the following organizations: Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland, American ORT, Cleveland Hillel Foundation, National MS Society, Bellefaire Children’s Bureau and Temple Tifereth-Israel.
He currently is Treasurer of the Board of Trustee of Get Your Guts in Gear, a non-profit organization that organizes three annual 270 mile bicycle rides to raise funds for research and awareness for Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Bruce has ridden in two events from New York City to Saratoga Springs, New York and one event in Washington State. He is also currently on the board of trustees of the Cleveland Baseball Federation, the Geauga County Humane Society and a member of the University Hospitals of Cleveland Digestive Health Institute Leadership Council.
Bruce and his wife live with their three rescue dogs in Pepper Pike, Ohio.

Adam Jacobs, who is the fourth generation of his family in the financial services industry, returned to Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 2008 to become a Financial Advisor with The Hartzmark Group of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. He primarily advises individuals, families and small business owners helping them define and meet their investment goals. He focuses on utilizing OAM’s consulting group to recommend customized wealth management programs while also utilizing the resources of Oppenheimer to build fixed income portfolios and using other specialty products to accomplish the client’s needs.
He regards the most important components of his role as a Financial Advisor to be understanding each client’s needs and finding the best possible products and strategies to seek to address them; helping clients understand their investments and keeping in touch with them to help make them feel comfortable. He values the ability to use Oppenheimer’s broad range of products and services.
Before joining Oppenheimer, Adam was one of two founding members of China America Financial Communications Group, a full-service financial communications firm that focused on serving Chinese companies that are listed on U.S. markets. He also worked at Oppenheimer for two summers in Equity Capital Markets, and Oppenheimer Asset Management, at the Ballentine Investment Institute in Syracuse, New York, and as a technology specialist for TQG, Inc. in Cleveland.
Adam pursued a double major at Syracuse University, earning degrees from its Martin J. Whitman School of Management as well as its School of Information Studies, in finance and information management and technology, respectively. In addition to the General Securities Representative License, Adam holds the Uniform Combined State Law License (Series 66).
He divides his time between Ohio and Florida, and his hobbies include photography, tennis and traveling.
