Associate Director - Investments
James Moran joined Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in March 2009 as an Associate Director - Investments after spending 11 years at Merrill Lynch as a Senior Financial Advisor and Assistant Vice President.
At Oppenheimer, his primary role as a Financial Advisor is to build a professional relationship with his clients by listening to their concerns and crafting investment strategies designed to help them work toward achieving their financial goals. This strategy, adapted to their personal situation, will evolve over time, as their lives evolve and the financial markets change.
A graduate of Michigan State University, James holds the General Securities Representative License (Series 7) as well as the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination (Series 65) and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination (Series 66). He holds the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) through the College for Financial Planning. He is licensed as an agent for life insurance and variable contracts/annuities in the state of Michigan.
James resides with his wife and four young children in Troy, Mi. Besides spending time with them, he enjoys golf, squash, snow skiing and hunting. A former Big Brother with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America, he is actively involved with Ducks Unlimited, the world's leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation.
