Phyllis is a native of Asheville and proud to call North Carolina home. She began her financial services career in 1983 when she joined Robinson-Humphrey as a wire operator. Subsequently, she worked at Merrill Lynch from 1987 to 1998 and at A.G. Edwards from 1998 to 2010. During those years in the industry, she worked as a Registered Financial Associate. In 2010, however, Phyllis took some time off to stay home with her family. She is the happy (and busy) parent of two daughters and grandmother of three grandchildren. She has rejoined the Financial Services industry as a Client Services Associate with The Village Group of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. In her new position after "retirement," her responsibilities include enhancing the client experience by welcoming newcomers, attending to client requests, and assisting the team with scheduling and operations. Her goal is to help The Village Group run smoothly and efficiently. Any spare time Phyllis may have she spends with her family. They enjoy making memories together at the beach, hiking the Western North Carolina Mountains and going on camping trips.

Travis Payne started working for The Village Group of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 2010. His role is to provide exceptional customer service backed by his own 14 years of experience in the financial services industry. Travis communicates with clients throughout all stages of the group's relationship with the client. His work focuses on comprehensive administration, proactive client solutions and oversight of operational procedures. Travis coordinates the team's administrative efforts. An Asheville native, Travis graduated from the University of North Carolina — Asheville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a double concentration in Financial Management and Economics. Before he joined Oppenheimer in March 2009, he worked at Merrill Lynch and UBS. Travis and his wife reside in Asheville, North Carolina. They are very involved with their church. In his spare time, Travis enjoys many outdoor sports such as sky diving, rock climbing, scuba diving, mountain biking and caving.
