Jonathan Robinson has 10 years of experience in the industry, all with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. and has earned the Certified Financial Planner™ designation by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. Jonathan assists Mr. Watt with the team’s separately managed accounts, 529 plans, executive services, other specialty products and, where appropriate, alternative investments.
Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in 1998. He and his wife live in Atlanta. When he is not working or spending time with his wife, he enjoys running marathons and reading a range of subjects but focusing on history.

James Watt has 30 years of experience with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., which he joined in 1979 after working as an entrepreneur in New York City. Among his other responsibilities, James oversees the team’s discretionary equity management and commodities trading businesses.
He is an Omega Group Senior Portfolio Manager. The Omega Group is a program through Oppenheimer that offers a unique managed money program in which experienced Financial Advisors act as portfolio manager for their clients. He also holds the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam (Series 65), the National Commodity Futures Exam (Series 3) and possess a Life Agent License in the State of Georgia.
James’s investment approach focuses on the future of the economy and those industries that he feels will benefit from unusual growth due either to the demographic demand for their products or the low current valuation of their business relative to their future earnings. He employs sector analysis combined with a philosophy of growth at a reasonable price to help build diversified portfolios of high-quality equities.
He has two college-age children and his interests include travel, golf, fishing, the metaverse, cooking, novels and economic history.
